DeFlock West Georgia
License-plate cameras are mapping everyday travel across West Georgia.
We document Flock and other ALPR systems, help neighbors file records requests, and push for local oversight before this network becomes permanent.
Why this matters here
Automated license plate readers log where vehicles go, when they pass, and often more than the plate itself. In West Georgia those feeds can be searched across agencies — and once installed, they are rarely rolled back.
Get involved
Small local actions compound. Start with one.
- Find cameras near you Check deflock.me and report what you see on the road.
- File a public records request Ask your city or county for Flock contracts, retention policies, and who can search the data.
- Speak at a council or commission meeting Tell elected officials you want oversight before more cameras go up.
- Tell a neighbor Most drivers assume these poles are speed signs. Awareness is the first brake.
